Not able to run the DOORS 9.1 client from my PC

We have started to look at DOORS 9.1. So far no real projects in it but likely very soon. The DOORS 9.1 database server was installed a few weeks ago and I have the DOORS 9.1 client installed on my PC. However, when I try to run the DOORS 9.1 client, nothing happens. I went as far as to try starting it from a command line entry. The message that I had returned to me was "The system cannot execute the specified program." I have found that it runs fine from other user's PCs, so it appears to be something different with my PC.

I have no problem running DOORS 8.3 from my PC. The DOORS 8.3 dataabase server is installed on the same server, so why 9.1 will not run is a mystery to me. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? Thanks!

I no longer have the problem. After my hard drive was replaced due to it crashing and our standard operating environment was re-installed, the problem was gone. Not the resolution that I would have preferred but I can now run DOORS 9.1.

Aren't you tempted to migrate your 8.3 database to v9.1, instead of starting an empty v9.1 database?

Just for information: I've seen that our file-server based DOORS 9.x client installation only works, if the local client has an installed MS VC++ 2005 SP1 redistributable.
